This book is about a boy named Nick and his best friend Marta.Nick and Marta unfortunately have the meanest biology teacher in the world and her name is Mrs.Starch.No Mrs.Starch is the meanest teacher in the teacher in the whole entire school.Although there is one kid in Nick and Marta's biology class that is not afraid of Mrs.Starch,and that is Smoke.Smoke is a kid that you don't want to mess with because he can hurt you, you can probably tell by his name.On the day of the grades field trip to the Black Vine Swamp Smoke doesn't show up which wasn't a big deal knowing him.Then a wildfire breaks in the middle of the swamp and the whole grade evacuates,a girl named Libby forgot her inhaler though so Mrs.Starch goes to get it.When Mrs.Starch doesn't show up the next day Nick and Marta set out on a journey to find her and do some pretty crazy things.Read the book to find out if they found Mrs.Starch and if they found out who set the wildfire at the swamp.

I really liked this book because it was very exciting and it was very shocking and adventurous. A thing that I liked about the book was that I couldn't put it down because I just wanted to know what happened next. A thing that I didn't really like about the book was that the author put the story into character's perspective's and it was sometimes hard to keep up what was happening. I recommend this book for people who like books that are so exciting and adventurous and that that can not put down because there so exciting.And a boy or a girl can read this book and on a scale to one to ten I rate the book a nine and a half
